“The structure of the day ran very well. It brought a ‘scary’ speech category into an ‘I can do this attitude’.”
“As a parent, I enjoy listening to Chap’s lectures to the students. My faith is strengthened, my walk with the Lord is deepened, I am blessed. But I love talking to my kids afterwards and hearing how much they’ve learned and grown through what he’s taught them. Please keep up the great work.”
“I especially loved that the focus was on the information and their spiritual growth rather than the competition.”

Testimonials from Camps

Our family attended the two day Apologetics camp with Chap Bettis, and I saw students transformed from shy and confused on day 1, to dramatically improved, confident Apologetics speakers on day 2. The children were armed with information that would not only help them in organizing their thoughts for Apologetics speeches and sharing the gospel with others, but tools and tips that would benefit them in preparation for essays on standardized tests and college. The course helps the students to think outside of the box when organizing their Apologetics boxes by learning to group and categorize the questions into 24 broad topics rather than over 100 questions which allows them to save time and be more efficient. Learning the five card method promoted ease of delivery. At the end of the camp, the students had cards they could actually use in a tournament.

Thank you so very much for coming all the way to share your heart, passion and skills with our students. My son J. and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of your presentation. … He spent the rest of that evening researching and preparing cards through his own desire. I just wanted you to know that not only did you teach apologetics, but life lessons were learned as well. Melissa – Texas

Testimonials from the Class

This is an amazing class that has given me a deeper interest in and greater desire to share the gospel. Will M., 17
This class teaches you that there is no such thing as a lukewarm Christian. You are either all in or not in at all…It was a valuable experience and has given me a yearning to further my relationship with God. Matt B., 16
I’ve been a Christian since age 11. Over the past couple of years I had begun to doubt my faith in a couple of areas. Questions like, “Is there really only one way to God?” and “Is there even proof of God’s existence?” had begun to creep into my mind. This class answered all my questions. Ben, 18
This class has really grounded my faith. Before, I believed the Bible, but it was along the lines of ‘The Bible says it’s true, so it must be true.’ I had faith but not understanding or knowledge. Also, because my knowledge was in reality fluff, I’ve always dreaded the thought of witnessing. Chris, 17
This class had to be one of the best spiritual experiences I have ever had. Previously, I had hundreds of questions that kept eating away at me. After the class most of those questions were answered. Aaron, 16

Facilities Needed
It would be good to have one room where everyone can gather and then breakout rooms for every 4-5 campers. This allows for a place where I can teach and then the students can work in groups of 4 or 5 on speeches together. Also, if you would like to do the minicompetition, some competitive speech parents are needed to help out by coaching the groups and then judging the students. We also have done a tiny tab to determine the winner of the beginner group and the intermediate group with a small reward.  I need a powerpoint projector. Whiteboards in the breakout rooms are great but not necessary.

Available Times
Most of my camps are in the summer in the July/August/September time frame although I have done others later.

Prices
I so believe in the effectiveness of this category and love interacting with the kids that I wish I could do it for free! I really do!! However, because my family likes to eat and to justify the time away  I do have to charge. The charge depends on what you want and the travel distance from Providence RI. I will take care of my flight arrangements. Please email me for specific numbers.

While you are here, take a look at our topic page for our blog as well as products that might serve you in passing on your faith.
